Graduating Class Pledge Scheme

Students Wear Their Class Pin with Pride

Graduating students who pledged to donate HK$500 or HK$800 in one year to their Alma Mater received a uniquely designed class pin with the University emblem and their year of graduation engraved on it as a token of appreciation.

Nearly 900 graduates signed up for the "2009 Graduating Class Pledge Scheme" during the College Photo Days. Immediately after signing up, these young alumni proudly put on their class pin to show their heartfelt gratitude to the University. The "Graduating Class Pledge Scheme" launched in 2004 aims to encourage new graduates to foster the tradition of giving back to their Alma Mater. The participation rate is most encouraging as over 8000 graduates have already signed up since its launch.

To acknowledge their support to their Alma Mater, the donor list of the Scheme is now uploaded. Click here for details.

The online registration for the 2009 Graduating Pledge Scheme is now ready for all 2009 graduates. Join now and support the development of the University.

For any enquiry, please contact Ms. Olivia Cheung on 2609-7309 or via email at gcps@cuhk.edu.hk.

Thank you, my Alma Mater!

"I am so delighted that I have joined the Scheme as I can support the student exchange programme of the University. My invaluable exchange experience to the USA is one of the most memorable and rewarding aspects of my university life and has prepared me for the challenges ahead. I sincerely hope my fellow students can also benefit from this programme."

"Having stayed in Chan Chun Ha Hostel for a year, I have developed a deeper sense of belonging to United College and CUHK. At the same time, I also realize that student hostels are in need of more resources in order to provide students with a better living environment. I find it very meaningful to participate in the Scheme as I can support my own hostel. I hope my small contribution, together with the support from other caring alumni, can help enrich hostel life!"
