Local students may according to their academic qualifications apply for admission to the University via the following admissions schemes:

	Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS), including sub-systems such as School Principal's Nominations Scheme and Self-recommendation Scheme, for those applying for admission on the basis of their Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) results
	Early Admissions Scheme for secondary six students applying for admission based on their Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) results or other comparable overseas public examination results as stipulated by the University
	Non-JUPAS (Local) Admission Scheme for those who possess academic qualifications other than the HKALE results such as International Baccalaureate, GCE A-Level, SAT, Higher Diploma, Associate Degree and other post-secondary qualifications
	Second-year Admission Scheme of Sub-degree Holders for those who possess associate degree or higher diploma for admission to the second year of the undergraduate programmes

For those who do not wish to pursue a degree but would like to take a few undergraduate courses offered by the University, they may apply for admission as associate students.

Applicants who are interested in the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) Programme may refer to the Regulations Governing Admission to Part-time Undergraduate Studies and the website of the Faculty of Education at http://www.fed.cuhk.edu.hk/ece for details.

Applicants who do not have right of abode or right to land in Hong Kong should apply for admission via the International Students Admission Scheme or Mainland Students Recruitment Scheme as appropriate.
