| | If you are | (a) | a JUPAS applicant of 2010 and have chosen / will choose CUHK programme(s) as one or more of your JUPAS choices; | | (b) | eligible to be considered for admission by CUHK (i.e. meeting CUHK's minimum entrance requirements for HKCEE and HKALE results) |
you are most welcome to report your non-academic achievements for consideration of the University under SRS.
Submission of SRS application is entirely voluntary. JUPAS applicants can apply through SRS online at the JUPAS website. The application deadline is 27 February 2010 .

| 2. | Which non-academic achievements are considered by the University? Is there any time limit on the non-academic achievement attained? |
| | The University has not restricted the type of non-academic achievements to be reported. In general, non-academic achievements can be categorized as follows: - Sports
- Music
- Creative Writing
- Leadership Skills
- Community Services
- Others
In order to obtain a complete profile of an applicant's non-academic talents, no time limit has been set on the date/year that the awards were granted or the extra-curricular activities were participated. |

| 3. | Shall I report non-academic qualification / achievement to be obtained between March and July 2010? |
| | No. You should report your non-academic attainments obtained before the SRS application. |
| | |
| 4. | Do I need to submit documentary evidence of non-academic achievements at the time of SRS application? |
| | No (except for awards in category 1). However, you may be required to do so at a later stage. Failure to submit the supporting documents when required will result in disqualification of your application and subsequent enrolment to the University. |

| 5. | How will my extra-curricular achievements be assessed? |
| | Achievements reported will be assessed by the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid and then by the CUHK Programme(s) which you have chosen as your Band A choices.
According to the level of extra-curricular achievements of an applicant, Programme(s) concerned may give: | (a) | a conditional offer to qualified applicants (only for those who have attained awards on an international level); or | | (b) | a higher priority when compiling the admission list; or | | (c) | bonus points to the applicant's admission score. |
Whether a higher priority or bonus points will be given depends on the level of achievements an applicant has attained. Not all applicants who have submitted self-recommendations will be given higher priorities or bonus points.

| 6. | What if I haven't won any of the awards listed at the JUPAS website? Can I still participate in this Scheme? |
| | Yes. You may fill in the 'Other' category of each part if you consider those awards significant. |

| 7. | Will I be at a disadvantage if I do not join SRS? |
| | No. Your JUPAS application will continue to be considered on the basis of your public examination results and other information you have already provided. |
