Through the generous donations that we have received from numerous donors, the University offers scholarships, prizes, and other academic awards to provide due recognition to students of the University who have demonstrated academic excellence and outstanding performance in other areas; as well as different types of bursaries and loans to help eligible students who are in genuine needs.

In 2007-2008 academic year, over 3,400 individual scholarships and prizes were awarded through the University and its constituent colleges, to students in various disciplines of study, with the total combined value amounting to approximately over HK$79 million.

Other than administering the University scholarships and financial aid schemes, the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid also assists in the administration of the “Tertiary Student Finance Scheme - Publicly-funded Programmes” as well as “Non-means Tested Loan Schemes” which are offered by the Student Financial Assistance Agency of the Hong Kong SAR Government.
