Application Fee The online application fee is HK$300 (approximate to US$37) and the paper application fee is HK$400 (approximate to US$52) for 2008 entry.
Tuition Fee

For non-local students, the tuition fee for 2008-2009 is HK$80,000.

Caution MoneyCaution money of HK$450 has to be paid upon enrolment. The caution money is refundable on withdrawal from the University, but is usually used as graduation fee.
Hostel Fee

Hostel fee for 2007-2008 is around HK$7,500*, depending on the type of hostel.

Miscellaneous Fees

The above fees plus food, books, transportation, and pocket money should come to an approximate total of between HK$85,000 and HK$120,000 per student per year.

Scholarships
 

Through generous support from various donors, the University offers a number of scholarships to non-local students.  To qualify for such awards, the students should have outstanding academic records and demonstrable financial need.

The following scholarships are available for non-local students entering the University in September 2008.

  
U.S. Federal Student Financial Aid Programs
 

U.S. students attending CUHK on a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree programmes as approved by the U.S. Education Department may apply for Federal Family Education Loans (FFEL) to help pay their education expenses. The “Federal School Code” for CUHK is G22074.
