To: Postgraduate Students

Collection of Tuition Fees 2009-10

The fee notes in electronic form will be sent by e-mails to students’ Campus-Wide E-mail (CWEM) mailbox 2 weeks prior to the payment due date.

Students may still print fee notes and guidelines for payment from https://epayment.bur.cuhk.edu.hk if they found it necessary. However, students are strongly recommended to pay fees by electronic payment methods, such as Payment through Internet/ PPS/ ATM / Bank website.  Upon confirmation of receipt by the Donations and Projects Management Unit (DPU), students can print payment receipts from the same website.

Research Programmes

1.1.

MPhil/MFA/MMus (including continuing) students - Fee notes are issued in early September (1st term)and early January (2nd term).  Continuing students who take any non-R or non-T course (course code not ended with "R" or "T") will have to pay full fee instead of the continuation fee. 

Please check your CWEM mailbox in September 2009 and January 2010 for  the fee note.

Doctoral (including continuing) students - Fee notes are issued once every 6 months of studies.  If leave is taken during studies, the time for issuance of the next fee note will be deferred according to the length of leave taken.  Continuing students who take any non-R or non-T course (course code not ended with "R" or "T") will have to pay full fee instead of the continuation fee.  

Please check your CWEM mailbox accordingly for the fee note.

Taught Programmes

 

Tuition fees of different Programmes are collected in different patterns (by term, by year, by programme, etc.) and different numbers of installments, as stipulated by the Programmes.

Please check your CWEM mailbox according to the payment schedule of your Programme for the fee note.  If you wish to know in advance the payment schedule, the number of installments and the amount per installment, please consult your Programme/Division.

Arrangements for Deferred Payment
Students who wish to defer payment because of financial difficulties may collect application forms from the following offices:

Students of Faculty of Education:

Faculty Office of Education (Ho Tim Building)

Students of MBA Programme (Evening Mode) :

Town Centre of the MBA Programmes

Students of other programmes:

Scholarships and Financial Aid Section, Office of Admissions and Financial Aid (Rm 322, Pi Ch'iu Building)

Completed forms should be returned to YOUR DIVISION at least 5 working days BEFORE the payment due date, together with the fee note (to be printed from https://epayment.bur.cuhk.edu.hk ) and relevant supporting documents.

Regulations and Fines
According to Clause 3.2 of the "General Regulations Governing Postgraduate Studies", "a student in arrears shall be subject to fines. A Student in arrears, whether in part or in full, or who has outstanding fines unpaid for more than two weeks shall be considered to have withdrawn from studies".

The fine for fee payment in arrears is $200.
